Although some might argue with me, I believe that white linen will always stay trendy. Despite of the joyful colours that we can now
lay on our beds, white linen is still one of our favourites. It
means purity, class, style, freshness. After all these years white linen is still in competition
with all other colours, white linen is the oldest type of linen and couldn’t be averted by no
other new spectacular discovery.
In old times there was white
linen. It seemed very complicated to maintain and to clean, some stains could never be
removed and most of the times you needed to buy new ones in order to have perfectly clean
linen.
In our days cleaning white
linen no longer represents a complication. It is extremely easy to throw them in the washing
machine, add bleach and raise water’s temperature (only if the texture allows
it).
If you decide for white linen
you must know that you are going to wash it more times than any other items you may have
(besides the white ones) as they are going to get dirty immediately. In this case my
recommendation is to choose higher quality materials for your white linen; it resist better
not only to lots of washings but to high temperatures as well. Your white linen will stay
white for longer this way.
Famous and extravagant hotels
always choose white linen for their best rooms. It gives you a feeling of serenity, peace and
comfort, and helps you rest better. Besides from that, it also proves cleanliness, care and
in the same time transmits confidence.
White linen is classical for a
weddings night. Is almost has the same significance as the bride’s white dress. And if the
dress costs you lots of money, and even more energy to find the right one, you must give at
least half of that interest for your best night ever. Or, you can spend the night at a fancy
hotel in the wedding suite and the result will be guaranteed.
Those who are not into pure
white always have options as ivory; this nuance has made the preference of many bedding
designers and entire collections have been based on it.
There was and there will always
be white linen on the bed of a new born child. With purity and tidiness as major symbols, no
matter the child’s gender the cribs’ linen is always white. It is an old tradition that is
even now as alive as always. Even if the baby gets to be dressed in blue or pink, the linen
stays white.
You always see advertising for different types
of beddings, all the colours, the patterns, cartoons for children, pink for young ladies,
movie scenes, you have promotions but they never mention anything about white linen. You can
search the internet for it; little information is to be found here as well, and still without
all the marketing strategies white linen is more fashionable than ever. There really has to
be something about it!
