Although cotton is extracted from the original
plant, this plant is usually treated with different chemicals and fertilisers in order for it
to grow healthier and longer. These treatments are also damaging for our environment, and
that is the main reason why people have started to invest in growing organic cotton. This
procedure assumes moving the cotton crops to different fields so that the parasites won’t
follow the plant.
Another huge discovery in the world of natural
made textiles is bamboo. This is a durable plant and same thing can we say about the fibre
made out of it. The plant is not demanding at all and has amazing natural long lasting
antibacterial properties. Same as organic cotton this plant can be brought up with no
addition of chemicals or fertilisers.
It becomes very easy to choose a bed cover since
so many styles are available especially if you have the opportunity of buying them together
with matching pillow cases and skirt covers.
It is advised that you take into consideration
the material used for the daybed cover you intend to buy; if not for environmental purposes
then at least for knowing how to clean it properly and how much time and effort it takes to
do that.
